The Production Manager will manage all things to do with factory site. The factory is briquette making. A first of its kind in Kenya. From ensuring delivery of materials, storage of goods, managing staff, management reports and ant other duties regarding the production site.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Recruit machine operators and other workers together with HR Manager.
- Prepare Budget and inventory replenishment reports.
- Monitor production issues to ensure efficiency and high quality product inputs.
- Supervise and evaluate personnel performance.
- Train, couch workers and Develop improve manuals at all times.
- Approve maintenance of production machines.
- Enforce health and safety precautions.
- Furnish the management with reports from time to time.
- Delivers set production targets.
Requirements
- Diploma in engineering – either Mechanical or Electrical
- Technical experience is desired over the diploma
- Proven experience working as a production manager 3-5years.
- Strong decision making skills.
- Computer literate with strong Excel skills for report writing.
- Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulation.
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
- Outstanding communication ability.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong decision making skills and a result oriented approach.
