Reporting to the Manager, Human Capital and Administration, the Senior Human Capital and Administration Officer will be responsible for the following:
- Implementing Human Resource Management policies and strategies;
- Compiling regular Human Resource and Administration status reports and agenda for discussion by the Board;
- Preparing recruitment plans;
- Implementing decisions of the Board as regards human resource and administration matters
- Supervising and monitoring implementation of performance management system and appraisal;
- Verifying payment claims and benefits applications such as motor vehicle loan and mortgages;
- Managing staff welfare matters;
- Supervising internship programme
- Leading mainstreaming of HIV/AIDS and other cross cutting issues at the work place;
- Preparing training projections, programs and, plans
Requirements for the Senior Human Capital & Admin Job
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: –
- Served for a minimum period of six (6) years as a Human Capital and Administration Officer in the public service/ private sector with at least 3 years in the senior management level or in any other relevant and equivalent position.
- A bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Human Resource Management, Bachelors of Commerce (Human Resource option), Business Administration or any other relevant degree in the field of social sciences;
- A Master’s degree in any of the following fields: Human Resource Management, Bachelors of Commerce (Human Resource option), Business Administration or any other relevant degree in the field of social sciences;
- Attended a senior management course lasting not less than 4 weeks
- Valid professional membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM)
- Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
