Kenya National Trading Corporation – KNTC was set up in 1965 as a private limited company owned by the Government. The main objective was to organise and effect exports from and imports into Kenya. Job Profile:

The incumbent shall be responsible to the Board of Directors for the day to day management and administration of all the activities and affairs of the Corporation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring implementation of the Board of Directors’ decisions;
  • Overseeing the development, implementation and review of the Corporation’s long term strategies, business plans, annual operating budgets;
  • Providing leadership and strategic direction (formulation, implementation and evaluation) in accordance with the Corporation’s vision, mission, goals and standards;
  • Ensuring that all financial and non-financial resources of the Corporation are effectively and efficiently managed;
  • Maintaining financial controls, prudent procedures, adequate records, and accountability standards that meet requirements of state corporations, the funding partners and other collaborating agencies;
  • (vi) Providing strategic leadership in Corporation’s programme, work and operations;
  • Ensuring close partner and collaborative relationships between the Corporation and government or private sector;
  • Fast track the implementation of the staff and the corporate performance Contract;
  • Provide advice to the Board on all matters related to commercial activities, the emerging trends and new market ventures;

  • Ensuring KNTC complies with relevant legislations;
  • Ensuring continual improvement in the quality and value of services and products provided by the Corporation;

Person Specifications:

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  • A minimum period of fifteen (15) years work experience in a busy commercial environment.
  • At least six (6) years relevant work experience in Senior Management.
  • Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Human Resource, Public Relations, Economics, Finance or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
  • Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Human Resource, Public Relations, Economics, Finance or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
  • Be a member of a professional body where applicable;
  • Certificate in Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution;
  • Proficiency in computer applications;
  • Demonstrated managerial, administrative, and professional competence in work performance and results; and
  • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
  • Exhibited a thorough understanding of public sector institutions, national goals, policies, objectives and ability to relate them to proper management of KNTC Function.

The mandate of TWSB is derived from water act 2002 which is to increase access to safe, adequate and sustainable water and sewerage services to both the rural and urban populations within the area of its jurisdiction

The Officer is responsible for coordinating, overseeing, executing and assisting in all technical matters related to technical planning and design of water and sanitation services so as to ensure access to safe water to all stakeholders in the Agency’s area.

Job Specification

Duties and responsibilities entail;

  • Undertaking technical planning and design of water and sanitation infrastructure;
  • Development of concept notes and project proposals;
  • Undertake pre-and feasibility studies for water and sanitation projects
  • Designing and developing appropriate and cost-effective models for water and sanitation infrastructure;
  • Prepare plans with detailed drawings that include project specifications and cost estimates
  • Preparing technical specifications and project tender documents;

Detailed Description

Reporting to Senior Manager Delivery, the position holder will ensure delivery of new Mobile Money Products, Services and engineering projects. Creation and maintenance of a trusted delivery partnership and guidance of MPA markets in their delivery of local MPA supported services. Vendor management for assigned projects and programmes and mentoring of in-Market resources to ensure synergies remain strong between MPA Market and Partners. Local refinement of a delivery approach to continuously improve Project Delivery metric and Time to Market.

Job Responsibilities

  • Weekly clarification for markets’ resources, actions and dependencies to enable new service launches
  • Weekly prioritization with other MPA Delivery Squads ensure market deliver their accountabilities into new service delivery activities.
  • Weekly escalation of Market based risks to MPA programme management for solution wide impact reduction.
  • Work with key in Market stakeholders to identify and capture requirements (functional, non-functional and operational) and ensure their timely implementation.
  • Lead and support MPA specialists to provide timely, task suitable design and approach and architecture guides for assigned projects.
  • Work effectively with MPA Commercial and Engineering Product Managers. Ensure acceptance for essential project documents.
  • Ensure that all deliverables, regulatory, fraud, risk, security etal are captured, communicated and meet agreed ‘definitions of done’ before service launch.
  • Undertake and support the generation and approval of Market work requests and offers.
  • Support Markets and suppliers deliver and progress estimates, quotations and plans/backlogs for project delivery. Ensure development of a business case, project mandate and project brief where required for the initiation of new projects.
  • Manage project RAID logs, budgets and expenditure for assigned projects.
  • Represent, support and guide the Markets and squads throughout the projects’ gated delivery process.
  • Support markets to identify solutions for local technical and financial risks
  • Escalate Programme level risks and issues to senior MPA and local stakeholders.
  • Strengthened Market communication plan (feedback loop, scheduled communications/reporting, issue escalation) with local Engineering, Commercial and Ops teams to identify local Market changes and enable Market support for Core Delivery Programmes.
  • Establish clear communication plans with Market stakeholders to support decisions, expected deliverables and actions for managed projects and programmes.
  • Arrange Monthly MPA and Market governance meetings for manage Markets and programmes.
  • Deliver a ‘service mentality’ and ‘collaboration approach’ in relationships between MPA and markets.
  • Remain receptive alternative ideas and point of view irrespective of cultural background or seniority level in Vodafone
  • Identify and drive process, product or service improvements to maximise Delivery’s capability.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Degree Qualification – Preferably STEM
  • At least 5 years’ experience in project Management Experience including international suppliers or markets
  • Project Management Qualification – PRINCE 2, APMP or equivalent
  • Agile Project Management Qualification Scrum/Kanban/SAFe or equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ experience in communication and relationship management experience to executive level
  • Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills to support work in reactive and proactive environments
  • At least 2 years’ experience in M-Pesa Mobile Payment or Financial Payment Service
  • Service Operations Qualification – ITIL
  • AML Qualification – ICA Certificate in Anti Money Laundering Awareness
  • Experience in M-Pesa OpCo regulated industry is advantageous
  • Programme Management Qualification and Experience – MSP is desirable

Job Introduction:

Reporting to the Labour Efficiency manager, the Administrator – Easy Roster will ensure the integrity and accuracy of information processed on the company’s employee roster and attendance system, in compliance with legislation and company policies and procedure.

Role Responsibility:

  • Create and maintain accurate Customer records on the Easy Roster (ER) database, as required for all contractual and ad hoc / sundry guarding customers.
  • Create and maintain rosters for all Customer sites on the ER system, ensuring the provision of manpower in compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Print duty rosters for CSM/Contract Managers
  • In cooperation with the HR Department, create, maintain and update accurate employee records on the ER database
  • Export the correct roster hours worked to the payroll for payment within specified deadlines and time frame
