We are a company in Agribusiness and seeking to recruit a Produce and Projects Sales and Marketing Manager.
You will also be responsible for planning, implementing and directing the sales activities of the company in a designated area to achieve sales objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a strategic business plan to identify, pursue and acquire elite customer accounts that expands company’s customer base and ensures it’s strong presence develop a sales strategy to achieve organizational sales goals and revenues
- Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales & marketing team
- Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales & marketing representatives
- Delegate responsibility for customer accounts to sales personnel and oversee the activities and performance of the sales team.
- Ensure sales team have the necessary resources to perform properly
- Liaise with the production department to ensure customer quality expectations of our farm produce are met and exceeded
- Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives
assist with the development of sales presentations and proposals and co-ordinate and monitor online sales activity - Investigate lost sales and customer accounts track, collate and interpret sales figures and help prepare budgets, control expenses and monitor budgets
- Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue and generate timely sales reports
- Develop pricing schedules and rates, formulate sales policies and procedures
- Maintain inventory control, conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis
- Analyze data to identify sales opportunities, develop promotional ideas and material, attend trade meetings and industry conventions
- Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts
- Network with individuals and businesses to generate and identify business opportunities
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
- Assist the company in meeting their customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping the company competitive and innovative
- To propose the best technical and economic solutions (quality, cost, deadlines) and to negotiate new contracts.
- Be fully conversant with the commercial and technical requirements of customers and competitors within preselected and defined market sectors.
- Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels, guarantee the establishment of referrals upon targeted clients.
- Meeting existing and potential clients, identifying and gathering their specific needs at an early stage
Marketing Manager Job Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor of Commerce in Sales and Marketing or related Field
- 4-5 years’ experience in sales of produce or projects
- Exceptional, organizational, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
