Mary’s Meals Kenya from its base in Eldoret delivers school feeding to over 22,000 children in 25 schools in Eldoret, Kisii and Nyamira. Collaboration between the Mary’s Meals team in Kenya and the schools and communities is essential to the success of the programme. The Mary’s Meals Kenya team also support our partner in Lodwar deliver the school feeding programme to a further 50 Early Childhood Development Centres for children under 5 years of age, in Turkana County.
Due to our continued growth and capacity needs, we are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Finance and Operations Manager, Mary’s Meals International
This is a new role, located in Eldoret, Kenya, the post holder will support the Country Director, with a ‘dotted line’ to the UK based Director of Finance and Director of IT & Operations, to provide effective and inspirational leadership of the Mary’s Meals finance and operations teams in Kenya.
A hands-on and participative leader, coach and mentor who will lead and develop an internal team to support the following areas: Finance, logistics, warehousing, security, procurement, transport, property management, governance, ICT and HR and administration. Accountable for ensuring that all finance and operations functions operate to the highest standards. An emphasis of the role is to ensure robust systems, processes and controls are in place and adhered to diligently across the whole programme.
- Degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Accountancy, Logistics, supply chain management, business administration) or equivalent level professional experience is essential. Being CCAB qualified, or equivalent, with a significant post qualification experience in desirable.
- You will be able to communicate well across all levels, have experience of managing and leadership, the skill to inspire confidence in those with whom contact will be made, be self-motivated, pro-active, flexible, a team player and you will identify with and have alignment with the aims and values of Mary’s Meals global movement.
- We are looking for an exceptional candidate who has significant management experience but who can operate at all levels to get the job done.
