Create and manage a security risk management service in coordination with the Head of Administration and targeted stakeholders. Ensure threat environment and security risk related events are monitored and assessed, with the relevant stakeholders being advised of changes in risk indicators, including functional support to “at risk” elements of business processes within the business units and end markets.
Provide consistency and coordination of country threat assessment, security risk assessment, crisis management and business continuity planning. Co-ordinate investigations and routine security support to the business.
The overarching purpose is to provide a coordinated and comprehensive threat-driven security risk management service of the highest quality, ensuring that risks to company personnel, assets and business operations/activities are properly identified, evaluated and countered in a timely and cost effective manner.
Security Manager Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that sites have threat assessments in place and constantly reviewed, to be used in conjunction with the security risk management process.
- Proactively identify security and continuity risks to supply chain. Prepare security risk assessments to drive security plans which are then resourced and implemented by the business.
- Formulate security plans to manage these risks and monitor their implementation
- Conduct security investigations and reviews in relation to any aspect of security. The aims being to determine cause, identify vulnerabilities, recommend solutions and drive corrective action.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Supply Chain Security & Resilience.
- Develop and update subject matter for security training and awareness programmes.
- Represent Security within cross functional project teams.
- Prepare reports for the Head of Administration (and brief in person when required).
- Ensure that travel security procedures and documentation are aligned and updated.
- Support Residential security programmes, VIP market visits, Events, Market visits and other high profile events.
Qualifications for the Security Manager Job
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in security management within the private sector.
- Degree qualification in security management or relevant related areas (e.g. risk, investigation, criminology, business continuity).
- Experience in development and deployment of functional strategy, policy and standards.
- Strong analytical skills in security risk management and business continuity planning.
- Strong financial awareness, in particular budget processes and controls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills allowing effective trust relationships.
- Ability to produce timely, accurate, detailed and concise written and verbal reports and reviews.
- Experience of managing 3rd parties and service providers.
