Strategic Program Manager at Roche

Roche Diagnostics is seeking a Strategic Program Manager in either Kenya or Nigeria to develop and deliver Strategic Programs in line with achieving the medium to long term growth objectives for the company. The programs are predominantly externally facing but may include some overlap with internal change management projects and activities.

Key Responsibilities

Road-Mapping

Contribute to the following activities linked to Road-mapping

  • Analysis of the assigned “Program Scope”.
  • Development and maintaining a detailed vision of the “Program Scope” to ensure that projects within the defined scope adapt to market trends and industry/market changes.
  • Ideation.
  • Outlining of Solutions.
  • Creating a broad-based strategic roadmap including Goal Setting.
  • Creating a Vision.

Strategic Planning

  • Creating and maintaining a Strategic Plan for the “Program Scope” and mapping individual projects and activities to ensure ongoing and long term success with the area of focus.
  • Scoping and designing Projects and Activities.
  • Defining specific strategies and tactics to deliver on the strategic goals.
  • Defining milestones (Time & Target).
  • Resourcing.

Project Execution

● Project Leadership and Management.

● Mobilizing cross-functional teams and other internal resources to deliver the project.

● Delivery of the project milestones.

● Ensuring projects are within budget and on-time.

● Risk & Mitigation analysis and management.

● Reporting.

● Communication.

Close Out

● Formal close out of projects.

● Definition and sharing of lessons learnt to the team and the broader organization.

● Definition of any spin-off projects/opportunities.

Governance

● Alignment of all Programs and their embedded projects to the internal Project Management and Quality Standards established within the Healthcare Transformation Team.

● To monitor compliance with policies and procedures, identify areas of non-compliance, and incorporate remedies in managed programs and their embedded projects.

You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:

  • Qualifications: Degree in a Science related field
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years experience in sales, marketing or similar in the pharmaceutical, Diagnostic or Healthcare environment with at least 1 year’s project management experience.
