Makueni County Public Service Board is established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act 2012. The Board was inaugurated on the 5th of August, 2013 as a body corporate with perpetual succession and seal capable of suing and being sued in its corporate name. It is composed of a Chairman, five Board Members and a Secretary all appointed by the Governor with approval of the County Assembly. Terms of service: Three (3) years contract
Salary: 49,000 x 2,170 — 51,170 x 2,550 — 53,720 x 2,650 — 56,370 x 2,750 — 59,120 x 2,920 — 62,040 x 3,080 — 65,120 p.m
Roles and Responsibilities
- Trouble shooting and repair production equipment, electrical breakdown in timely manner.
- Assist in development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedule of plant equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance of plant and equipment to reduce breakdown and attain availability of above 85%.
- Install, maintain and repair plant electrical facilities
- Propose and assist in implementation of continuous improvement of the project.
- Liaise with plant engineer to ensure availability of electrical consumables for the plant
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
- Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.
Qualifications
- BSc in electrical or electrical and electronic engineering from a recognized institution
- Advanced diploma in electrical or electrical and electronic engineering
- At least six years professional experience in food processing industry.
- Registered with relevant professional body
