Our Client, a leading Destination Management Company is looking for an aggressive, performance driven Operations Manager. This person will be responsible for all confirmed bookings/transport operations to ensure that all the operations run well.
Operations Manager Job Responsibilities
Tour
- Ensure all the tour files run as expected without mistakes
- Ensure that all bookings have been correctly inserted in to tour plan system
Finance
- Ensure that all the services booked have been charged correctly to avoid losses
- Planning, focusing and budgeting for the Department
- Provide Statistics on vehicle Consumption and maintenance for cost control
Operationally
- Ensure that the transfer list is accurate to prevent any missed transfers
- Ensure that the guests are met at the airport and hotels by designated persons on timely basis
- Ensure Clients complaints/Concerns are addressed to satisfaction
- Ensure our vehicles are compliant (All the necessary licenses are obtained, as well as ensure that they are in good and safe condition at all times)
- Ensure emergencies/crisis are adequately handled
- Monitor standards of accommodation, facilities and general services given to our clients
- Ensure quality controls of all tour activities of the company
- Ensure corporate visibility is maintained though our vehicles, drivers and representatives (Provision of
- Uniforms/Vehicle stickers/Paging material)
- Be involved in key projects (not only IT) to make operations more reliable, cheaper and faster
- Liaise with relevant authorities for necessary permits such as airports, parks and ministry of tourism to ensure smooth operations.
- Supervise work activities
- Responsible for staff in operations departments (recruitment, coaching, mentoring, motivating and discipline matters)
Qualifications for the Operations Manager Job
- Degree/Diploma in Tourism/operations/Management
- Proficiency in IT – Microsoft Office and Internet
- At least 10 years proven work experience in a reputable Destination Management Company with at least 3 years as an Operations Manager
- Strong Communication skills with pleasant personality
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Planning and organization skills
- Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
- A keen eye to detail.
