In Kenya it is operating as an NGO to provide strategic technical support and innovative approaches to address priority and emergent public health challenges.
ICAP is collaborating with national and county governments to strengthen systems and provide quality and patient-centered health care.

Position: Prevention Advisor
Location: Kisumu
Overall Job Function: The Prevention Advisor is a key member of the technical team with responsibility for the planning, implementation and success of a complex HIV prevention programme including HIV Testing Services, programming for people who inject drugs and gender-based violence recovery.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Prevention Advisor will work in liaison with the Regional Director to:
- Develop and continually revise a dynamic project work plan
- Coordinate and inspire a team of professionals to deliver project outcome
- Ensure extraordinary attainment of key performance indicators
- Provide technical support and supervision to health care providers
- Scale up HIV Testing Services
- Ensure effective referrals and linkage from HTC to HIV care services
- Scale up delivery of PrEP services
Requirements:
- Degree in Medicine
- Clinical experience including significant amount of HIV medicine
- Higher level degrees in medicine or public health an advantage
- Previous experience in HIV Programming
- Experience within national health care system
- Capacity to oversee complex HIV programs
