Political Advisor Job Responsibilities
- Providing political direction to the Governor;
- Monitoring political trends both in the county and at the national level and advice the Governor accordingly;
- Ensuring separation of powers between the Office of the Governor, County Assembly and other offices in the County;
- Promoting national unity, peace and stability in the County;
- Conducting socio-political research to advice on policy;
- Monitoring and evaluating political trends in the County;
- Appraising the Governor on matters of political interest; and
- Assisting to develop procedures and strategies for addressing issues of political interest; and
- Participating in the preparation of campaign and policy positions and papers as directed by the Governor.
Qualifications for the Political Advisor Job
- Be a Kenyan citizen.
- Be a holder of at least a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science or Public Administration from a university recognized in Kenya.
- KCSE Grade C+ and above.
- Have knowledge, experience and a distinguished career of not less than 10 years in a political related field.
- Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (2010) on leadership and integrity.
