Programme Officer Jobs at Makueni County
Reporting to the Director, Diaspora Affairs, Internship, Mentoring and Volunteerism, the Officer will be responsible for the following tasks:
Programme Officer Job Responsibilities
- Implementation of the strategic plans, programmes and projects of the directorate in collaboration with other departments and stakeholders;
- Offering advice on directorate regulations and guidelines;
- Assisting in the development of legal frameworks on Diaspora, Internship and Volunteerism affairs time to time;
- Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports; and
- Perform any other duty as assigned by the Director, Diaspora Affairs, Internship, Mentoring and Volunteerism.
Qualifications for the Programme Officer Job
- Be a Kenyan citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Youth Development or related field.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations or Youth Development will be an added advantage.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Basic numeracy and IT skills required for operating various systems.
- Ability to mentor young people.
- Good negotiating and influencing skills in implementing Human Resource Management policies.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya (2010).
