Programme Officer Jobs at Makueni County

Reporting to the Director, Diaspora Affairs, Internship, Mentoring and Volunteerism, the Officer will be responsible for the following tasks:

Programme Officer Job Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the strategic plans, programmes and projects of the directorate in collaboration with other departments and stakeholders;
  • Offering advice on directorate regulations and guidelines;
  • Assisting in the development of legal frameworks on Diaspora, Internship and Volunteerism affairs time to time;
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports; and
  • Perform any other duty as assigned by the Director, Diaspora Affairs, Internship, Mentoring and Volunteerism.

Qualifications for the Programme Officer Job

  • Be a Kenyan citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Youth Development or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations or Youth Development will be an added advantage.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Basic numeracy and IT skills required for operating various systems.
  • Ability to mentor young people.
  • Good negotiating and influencing skills in implementing Human Resource Management policies.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya (2010).
