Role Description

We are recruiting for a Nairobi-based Training and Onboarding Manager who will lead the training of new distribution partners across emerging markets as they launch their Pay-As-You-Go solar sales using Angazas technology. You will lead and continue to build onboarding systems at Angaza, as we take the next step in growing our distribution network to serve millions of off-grid homes. You must feel energized by interacting cross-functionally with both internal teams and external stakeholders. The position will report directly to the Director of East African Operations and may include up to 30% travel to partner locations.

Responsibilities

  • Optimizing and managing the onboarding process and activities for Angazas distribution partners
  • Managing all aspects of Pay-As-You-Go distribution training, from design through delivery, including content creation and software demos
  • Advising solar distributors on best practices to scale credit sales while leveraging Angazas software tools
  • Building processes to scale our training systems to effectively onboard many distributors across diverse geographies
  • Owning the creation, updating, and distribution of after-training support materials, including writing help documentation
  • Interacting with and directly training stakeholders at all levels in partner organizations, from C-suite and senior management to field staff and sales agents
  • Working with Angazas Customer Support and Account Management teams to get feedback from partners and optimize training processes
  • Building custom trainings for new feature releases to ensure existing partners are up to speed with Angazas ever-improving platform
Required Attributes
  • 3+ years of experience in building training content and delivering trainings for technical products
  • A thoughtful approach to adult training pedagogy and methods, including knowledge of digital training tools
  • Strong customer-service skills demonstrated through past work experience
  • Exemplary follow through and organizational skills
  • Experience with video and image editing softwares a plus
  • Comfort with periodic in-country and international travel
  • Experience living and working in a developing/emerging market context preferred
  • Happiness in a dynamic, flexible (and fun!) atmosphere
