Sales Team Lead

As the Sales Team Lead, you will be responsible for building and developing partnerships from scratch with restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, etc and growing their number on the platform while delivering on aggressive sales and growth targets.

In this role you will be part of the sales team at Glovo, working closely with the Director of Sales for your region.

You will:

  • Build a partner portfolio from scratch and negotiate the best products in your city to deliver it to our customers
  • Lead from the front in closing deals, onboarding them and account management for your city’s partners
  • Meet monthly objectives defined by the Sales Director
  • Coordinate the Sales Plans defined together with the Sales Operation Manager + Marketing team + Key Accounts Sales + Account Managment team
  • Train and motivate the sales team

Requirements:

  • At least, 3 years of experience in high-performance sales
  • Previous work experience in a startup / high-demanding environment is preferred
  • Sales hunger is a must! You may never take a no for an answer.
  • Experience in training and motivating a sales team
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, strategic thinker, with strong leadership and business fundamentals
  • Strong communication abilities with ability to influence and drive change

You will

  • Recruit, train and onboard the entire fleet of Glovers (couriers) in the new city
  • Be responsible for implementing processes and optimizing strategies involving the acquisition and retention of Glovers
  • Have a Data Sensitive approach, making sure that all the information is transferred to our database and reports
  • Be responsible for all documentation and contracts of Glovers in the city
  • Be there for the Glovers when they need support
  • Take care of procurement, ensuring that all Glovers receive the work kit and are ready to spread the Glovo brand
  • Ensure that all Glovers are properly trained and prepared to provide feedback to the Fleet Operations Manager
  • Manage scheduling, attendance and general administration of Info-Sessions while supporting daily operations through operational supervision and analysis of KPIs
  • Communicate effectively with the local Operations Manager on customer support processes and operations
  • Improve processes on behalf of Glovers through projects (when necessary)

Requirements

  • Have previous experience in on-demand fleet management
  • Good communicator with ability and agility to solve problems
  • Being highly motivated to work for a fast-growing startup
  • Basic Excel and Data Interpretation Skills
  • Enjoy learning and adapting to new technologies
  • Have initiative, be proactive and autonomous – Glovo is also yours!
  • Have good energy and like what you do, even on bad days
  • University degree (Engineering, Administration or related areas)
  • Fluent in English and Ukrainian. Russian is a plus.

Job description

We are looking for an analytical marketing manager who can help shape the Glovo brand while formulating and executing new strategies to acquire new customers in our recently launched Market. This person must be a self-starter, results-oriented, and able to thrive in an entrepreneurial fast-paced environment that needs to be shaped from scratch.

Main Tasks

  • Define Glovo local Marketing strategy with the Marketing Director – Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Lead local Marketing activation (offline and online) and manage/optimise Content to deliver on the agreed growth goals
  • Understand local media landscape and define a right mix of digital/non-digital investment to maximize user base growth within the agreed CAC targets.
  • Define promotional, pricing and point of sale strategy
  • Identify and execute local partnerships to build the brand awareness in the city
  • Manage country marketing budget
  • Track and monitor key Growth and Content metrics providing the appropriate visibility to HQ and the Marketing Director -Sub-Saharan Africa

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of Marketing experience at a leading CPG blue chip company
  • Highly analytical and comfortable dealing with high growth and complex business challenges
  • Proven track record of delivering business growth, experienced defining investment strategy and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital and non-digital channels
  • Strong consumer understanding skills
  • Have a deep understanding of paid, owned and earned media channels, being comfortable tracking and reporting on established performance marketing KPIs
  • Proficient in English
