Our client is looking to hire an I.T Manager who will be responsible for managing the ICT
Department and be responsible for the cost-effective operation of the IT delivery function.
Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth operation of the central systems, the office automation environment & the communications infrastructure;
- Implement the IT strategic plan in support of the Company’s corporate plan & business plans;
- Determine the most effective & efficient ways of implementing technology based solutions to support the stated requirements of the various departments;
- Identify opportunities for the application of technology to assist the various departments achieve their objectives;
- Ensure the security & integrity of the systems & equipment at all times;
- Liaise on IT matters with the providers & users of company supported information;
- Formulate and implement the company’s ICT policies;
- Advise the Managing Director as part of the management team;
- Identify the key expense drivers in the department and control departmental costs within approved budget targets;
- Provide leadership & mentoring to the Business Systems Analyst, LAN/WAN Administrator and the Computer Operator/ Analysts and also identifying any training needs that they may require;
- Ensure that the periodic performance appraisals of the staff in the department are carried out in a timely manner;
- Develop and maintain an enterprise-wide business recovery plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of IT services in the event of a disaster;
- Ensure that enterprise information systems operate according to internal standards, external accrediting agency standards and legal requirements; and
- Negotiate service level agreements with vendors and monitor IT systems performance to assure service standards are consistently met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent;
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a vibrant organization;
- Professional Qualifications /Membership to professional bodies i.e. CMIS, PMP, MCSE, MCSD and other ICT related qualifications;
- Detail-oriented;
- Thrives in collaborative environment;
- Good communications skills, with customers, team and stakeholders;
- Business & IT strategy experience;
- Knowledge of related software and
- High standards of professionalism and integrity.
Salary: Ksh 120,000
