Cooks at Naivas

Reports to Branch Manager and Head Cook

JOB SUMMARY

The food service cook is responsible for preparing quality deli products to Naivas’ specifications and standards in a safe manner

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

  1. Ensure timely and quality food production
  2. Follow designated food production protocols
  3. Perform closing duties which include working the walk-in coolers and freezers, sweeping, praying and squeegee floors and leaving work space organized, paying special attention to proper order of product storage
  4. Prevent shrink, damage and spoilage of product to ensure freshness and quality.
  5. Assist with building produce displays and ensure proper pricing and signage of products.
  6. Perform produce duties such as stocking, wrapping, clean-up as assigned by management in accordance with company guidelines.
  7. Learn and know recipes and proper product portioning
  8. Maintain product at proper temperatures
  9. Ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures are performed

Key Competencies Required

  1. Certificate or diploma in food production
  2. At least KCSE C (Plain) or any other relevant qualification.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Lead and create consensus and effect change
  5. Good Analytical Skills
