Motor Vehicle Inspector at Tana River County

  • Carry out motor vehicle inspection to assess road worthiness in accordance with the safety standards and policies.
  • Carry out vehicle mechanical inspection to assess compliance with road safety requirements.
  • Keep records of vehicle inspection reports
  • Assess motor vehicle service and maintenance records
  • Conduct vehicle troubleshooting to identify any likely faults.

Qualifications

  • Be Computer literate;
  • Minimum grade III Mechanic/Electrician from a recognized institution;
  • Should have at least 2 years’ working experience;
  • Valid Driving licence;
  • Have met the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya; and Public Officer Ethics Act 2003.

Pharmaceutical Technologist(6 Posts) at Tana River County

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the implementation of the County Integrated Performance Management System;
  • Coordinating the dissemination and reporting on the County Performance Management plan;
  • Coordinating efficiency monitoring functions across departments;
  • Providing support in analyzing performance review reports and verifying the integrity of the reports;
  • Making proposals/recommendations for performance improvement;
  • Supporting the Governor’s office and County Secretary’s office in developing annual performance plans and targets;
  • Preparing performance reports to the County Assembly;
  • Managing and planning for citizen participation in the evaluation of the County Government performance;
  • Organizing public events for sharing of performance reports and recognition of exemplary performance in the County Public Service;
  • Liaising with the County Public Service Board on the performance management in public service;
  • Monitoring and evaluating implementation of County Government policies, programs, strategic plans and performance contracts.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management/Development/Business Administration or Management or any other in related field from a recognized Institution;
  • Master’s degree in relevant field;
  • Have working experience of not less than ten (10) years, three (3) years of which in a Management position;
  • Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development or related field from a recognized institution; or related field from a recognized institution;
  • Have a working experience of not less than eight (8) years in a relevant field, three (3) of which must be in a management position in a reputable institution;
  • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution; and
  • Meets the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise provision of quality assured ECDE service in the county.
  • Oversee and address teacher management issues such as staffing, discipline, transfer and leave;
  • Develop and coordinate implementation of quality assurance systems in the institutions such as maintenance and amendment of regulations;
  • Coordinate inspection of schools to ensure required standards are maintained;
  • Monitor, evaluate and review policies on standards and relevance in early childhood development and education;
  • Contribute toward review of policy governing quality assurance systems and procedures relating education programs;
  • Collection and dissemination of all research data or information regarding ECDE services in the County;
  • Carry out regular quality assurance and standards assessment of Early Childhood Education centers;
  • Provide information on education and education trends to the Director Education; and
  • Coordinate all research concerning ECDE services in the County.

  • Have served for a period of not less than eight (8) years, three (3) of which must be in a management position in either public or private sector;
  • Certificate in Computer applications from a recognized institution;

  • Meets the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

Responsibilities

  • Managing programs and projects;
  • Carrying out environmental outreach activities;
  • Validating technical reports;
  • Facilitating consultative fora;
  • Collating information for preparing policies, legislations, strategies, action plans, speeches, intervention statements;
  • Developing and maintaining databases related to environment and natural resources;
  • Developing research proposals;
  • Coordinating stakeholders in implementation of environment and natural resources matters; and
  • Undertaking monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
