Job Purpose:–

  • This is a position responsible for the overall leadership of the trainings, consultancy, business linkages function within the institution;
  • To promote and sustain a sound investment Management discipline within and outside the institution;
  • To represent the Business advisory services function to the Board and ensure that there are effective standards and internal controls, policies and procedures, systems and a Business Advisory Services management framework that supports business sustainability and continuity as well as ensuring compliance with various regulatory standards;
  • To anticipate and proactively ensure management of Business Advisory Services, operations, information security and regulatory compliance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Spearhead and direct the Business Advisory Services team into Research, Training and Consultancy in order to achieve strategic goals of the company;
  • Carry out business profiling and resource mapping;
  • Initiate collaborations and partnerships in the support of MSMI’s.
  • Entrepreneurship training;
  • Provision of consultancy services;
  • Provision of market access services to MSMI’s;
  • Establishment of information centres;
  • Provision of Business Information Services;
  • Facilitate technology transfer;
  • Establish and facilitate subcontracting and linkages
  • Implement the Business Advisory Services Management Policy and ensure that its management governance structures are fully functional;
  • Ensure issuance of monthly,quarterly reports on Business Advisory Services. This shall automatically trigger status of the company performance;
  • Embed operational Business Advisory Services practices into business activities and support it with appropriate training and awareness for quality company business;
  • Conduct periodical review on BAS administration procedures to streamline workflow
  • Advise on Business Advisory Services issues and prepare reports for the Board to assist in decision making.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

  • Degree in any Business related fields e.g. (Business, Finance, Banking & Accounting or any other relevant field;
  • Master’s Degree in the relevant fields will be an added advantage;
  • A certified Member of a Professional body;
  • A minimum of Seven (7) years of relevant experience with three (3) years in a responsible/management role and shown merit and ability as reflected in his/her work performance and results;
  • A good understanding of business lending products from the financial services Industry;
  • Experience and an understanding in Consultancy and Training;
  • Fulfilled the provision of chapter six of the constitution;
  • Exposure to demanding operational environments, ability to gain insight into the most effective Business management applications and key points for;
  • Gathering data for use in review of Business Advisory Services Policies by monitoring reports
  • Performance of administrative duties

Job Purpose:

  • The position is responsible for legal matters pertaining to the company in ensuring that the Business operations of the Company are undertaken and mitigating the Company’s inherent exposure in contracts and documents relating to its business; resolving disputes affecting the Company using the systems provided for in law;
  • Rendering Professional Legal to the Board of Directors on corporate and legal affairs and matters of Corporate governance, making administrative arrangement for Board meetings, preparing agenda and board papers and ensuring all Board members receive agenda before scheduled meetings and within stipulated timelines

Duties And Responsibilities

  • The position is responsible for legal matters pertain to the company, including issues of property management, insurance of company assets, covenanting and perfection of securities;
  • Ensure diligent preparation and assessment of loan documentations for generated loans (loan documents i.e. loan agreements charges, deeds of guarantee (etc.);
  • Represent the organization in all issues requiring legal address, claims, defamation, legal suits etc.;
  • Rendering professional legal advice to the management. i.e. procurement committee and advise on aspects of public procurement law and the Board for any legal action to be initiated and / or defending the interest of the company thereof;
  • Advising KIE on the legal aspects of day-to-day administrative matters or problems connected with the company’s legal regulations;
  • Advising the Board of Directors on corporate and legal affairs and matters of corporate governance;
  • Arranging and conducting periodic special meetings of the Board, preparing agenda and Board papers and ensuring all Board members receive agenda before scheduled meetings and within stipulated timelines;
  • Store legal instruments related to the organization i.e. contracts, leases, logbooks, agreements etc.;
  • Making administrative arrangements for Board meetings e.g. accommodation, flight transport arrangements, bookings and ensuring provision of what will be required;

Requirement For Appointment

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized institution;
  • Diploma in Law from Kenya school of Law;
  • Master’s Degree in the relevant fields will be an added advantage;
  • Proficiency in computer applications;
  • Must be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
  • Possess a current practicing certificate;
  • Registered member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries (ICPSK);
  • At least seven (7) years of work experience with at least 3 years in a responsible or management position in a busy legal function/demanding environment;

Job Purpose:

  • The position is responsible for ensuring the company achieve the Company’s Mandate of offering Incubation services and workspace as well as ensuring the work environment for the company staff and clients is safe.
  • The incumbent will coordinate and manage all the projects within the institution. This will include management of on-going projects undertaken by external consultants as well as the architectural designs undertaken in-house.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepare/Review IEDIS policies and procedures;
  • Ensure prudent and diligent acquisition of industrial plots;
  • Prepare project briefs and concept designs in consultation with the users;
  • Prepare cost estimates and projects feasibilities;
  • Project management of both minor and major in house designs and supervisor of all ongoing projects within the institution
  • Liaise with Architects to ensure timely and prudent preparation of designs & sheds for new building extensions and renovations
  • Ensure timely collection of rent and mortgage loans
  • Spearhead supervision of building constructions, renovations and proper maintenance for all the KIE buildings other related company assets
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all the KIE buildings and provision of essential facilities i.e. Electricity, water, sewage and road services
  • Ensure timely preparation of feasibility studies and linking incubates to the newly constructed sheds.

Requirement For Appointment

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Building Construction Economics or any other relevant degree from a recognized institution;
  • Professional Qualifications/Membership to professional bodies and practicing certificate;
  • Proficiency in computer applications;
  • The candidate should have evidence based experience of managing site works through all architectural stages and designs;
  • Work experience of up to 5 years progressively with reputable organizations, with Three (3) years at a responsible or management position;

Job Purpose: – The position is responsible for developing and reviewing periodic strategic and operational plans of the organization; monitor and evaluate all KIE programs in terms of quality, relevance, cost effectiveness and actual performance against planned targets to ensure that the company achieves set goals and objectives. The position also heads research and development activities for the company.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation/review Strategic Plans and implementation programmes
  • Assist in the preparation of operations plans (work plans)
  • In liaison with all the departments, put in place monitoring and evaluation systems (programs) for the work plans.
  • Assist in coordinating the preparation of the company’s performance contract
  • Monitor the achievement of the performance contract on quarterly and annually basis

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement NRC’s systems and procedures at country level
