Job Description
The holder of this role will be accountable for managing all strategic marketing activities and campaigns across
the segments. He/she will lead, motivate and develop capabilities of the marketing team and provide strategic
marketing leadership and consultancy.
Marketing Manager Job Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and ensure the marketing strategy for both the parent company and the subsidiaries are in place.
- Review regularly the marketing practices in the organization and enforce best practices in the industry.
- Analyze the effectiveness of all marketing efforts including their contribution to the effectiveness of sales campaigns.
- Develop and grow the Longhorn Brand.
- Participate in price fixing, developing sales offers, and reward scheme for best customers.
- Develop and implement guidelines for sponsorship of events and activities of business partners.
- Ensure efficient and optimal use of promotional materials.
- Monitor, review and present marketing research and market intelligence reports.
- Monitor, review and report all marketing activities.
- Managing launch campaigns for new products
- Develop linkages with strategic partners to gain competitive advantage
- Financial management of the marketing programs, including budget planning and resource allocation.
- Prepare the Marketing budget and forecasts for the fiscal year and ensure optimal use of the funds.
- Participate in stakeholder forums to build sustainable relationships for long term business growth.
- Work together with the Sales Managers of Primary and Post Primary to achieve the sales target.
Qualifications for the Marketing Manager
- Master Degree in Marketing or any related course.
- Certification from Chartered Institute of Marketing.
- Five (5) years marketing experience of which 3 years leading a Marketing Department.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated competencies in championing customer focus.Demonstrated capacity to lead, coach and supervise team members effectively to deliver on business targets.
- Demonstrate the personal qualities of being a self-starter, organized, results oriented and a team player.
