The Governance Affairs Office provides secretariat support to the UN Environment Assembly of the UN Environment Programme (UN Environment) and its subsidiary body, the Committee of Permanent Representatives. It serves as the main interface for external relations and facilitates deliberations of Governments, Major Groups and other Stakeholders including the private sector. The Private Sector Unit coordinates private sector engagement across the organization. The Unit undertakes risk assessments of private sector partnerships and contributes to increased transparency in engaging stakeholders.During the time of this assignment, the consultant will support the Private Sector Unit with private sector engagement at the corporate level as well as assisting with strengthening private sector participation at international environmental meetings, such as the UN Environment Assembly. Specifically, the consultant will develop toolkits, review guidelines for private sector engagement at UN Environment.
