KICD Grade 7
The Supply Chain Management Officer will report to the Assistant Director Supply Chain Management.
Responsibilities
- Preparing, advertising and distributing procurement documents;
- Maintaining up-to-date contract register;
- Sourcing for suppliers through request for quotations;
- Ensuring timely delivery of goods, services and works;
- Conducting market research and surveys;
- Ensuring safe custody of stores;
- Recommending stores requisitions for issuing;
- Monitoring the movement of stores;
- Coordinating identification of unserviceable, obsolete and surplus stores and equipment for disposal;
- Participating in tender opening and evaluation; and
- Complying with procurement regulation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: -Procurement and Supply Chain Management; Purchasing and Supplies Management; Supply Chain Management; Procurement and Contract Management; Logistics and Supply Chain Management; Procurement and Logistics Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Full membership to a professional body;
- Computer literacy; and
- Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
