What Is This Job About
This role will enable to engage in a fully end to end perspective into the business of Jumia Mall and Jumia Services, and give you invaluable experience.Will be in charge of running and improving at its best the full logistics set-up for Jumia in Kenya, and as well as enhancing the customer and vendor experience
Main Responsibilty
- Act as an interface across all levels of management, internal customers and external customers.
- Manages Third Party Logistics (3PL) providers.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities across logistics distribution channels.
- Manages customer service level agreements and 3PL performance.
- Maintains ongoing metrics on cost, operational performance, and internal/external customer satisfaction
- Coordinates shipments being collected by 3PL partners.
- Prepares all necessary courier contractual documents required for partnership.
- Provides shipments updates to all internal and external parties as required.
- Solicits and prepares transportation quotes and works closely with AP to reconcile invoices
- Supports the leadership team with initiatives and special projects.
- Actively support operational process controls through regular activity and training with Logistics, Finance, and Legal to keep the company compliant with trade and distribution regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bsc. Degree (Business Administration, Logistics- supply chain, Economics, Engineering)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Multitasks and has strong organizational skills
- Good teamwork and collaboration skills Strong work ethic
- High level of computer literacy (specifically Ms Excel)
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal relations
