Our client is a Retail and Distribution company established in 2014 and specializing in FMCG. . Our client seeks to engage a Senior Human Resource & Admin Officer to put in place sound human resource and administration systems and activities aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in the work performance of the company as a whole and also manage employee relations effectively.
The Position:
Reporting to the Administration Director, the Senior HR & Admin Officer will oversee all day to day HR and Administration activities of the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Developing modern Human Resource management strategies and comprehensive action plans.
- Handles administration of staff contracts and translation of terms of service.
- Develop and implement effective employee relations strategies
- Management of the staff medical scheme.
- Management of all staff leave in the Company.
- Advising on disciplinary cases arising
- Enforcement of the company policies and procedures.
- Handling employee complaints.
- Participate in payroll preparation and review.
- Reporting on statutory deductions.
- Ensuring legal compliance on Bowip’s HR Policies.
- Drafting of press adverts related to recruitment of staff.
- Participation in the recruitment and selection and placement process of staff this includes, short-listing and arranging for interviews.
- Preparation of Board papers on staff matters related to terms and conditions of service.
- Participation in training of staff as a trainer.
- Participation in the preparation of annual budget for staff salaries and wages.
- Maintain updated staff records
- Supervise administrative activities being undertaken in the company
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
The ideal candidate should have:
- A BSc degree in Human Resource Management or BSc Social Sciences or business Administration with HR Diploma
- Member of IHRM
- At least 5 years’ experience in Human Resource
