1. Debt Recovery Officer – Faulu

Introduction

Reporting to the Debt Recovery Manager the job holder will ensure compliance with internal credit policies and procedures, best practices and CBK prudential guidelines to facilitate management of credit risks within tolerable levels. The Job holder will ensure that ALL approved and disbursed loans are full repaid as stipulated in the terms and conditions,

  • 2 years’ experience in credit and debt collection

Job Specification

  • Ensure one day arrears management for all disbursed loans
  • Record and maintain a track of all the recovery progress for all loans in arrears
  • Prepare weekly arrears reports for all the branches and follow with them to ensure full repayment.
  • Prepare demand letters and ensure that they are forwarded to the defaulting customers.
  • Prepare debt collection instructions to external service providers to facilitate recover as per the debt recovery guidelines.
  • Prepare reports and make recommendations on bad debts to be written-off to the management for approval.
  • Processes and maintain an updated register on loan related insurance claims and ensure prompt reimbursement.
  • Monitor debt collection response cycles and contacts as well as credit control performance
  • Manage resource scheduling and the determination of priority of work and procedures to maximize production output and success levels.
  • Report and monitor all risks associated with debt recovery
  • Generate compliance reports for use in decision making and performance appraisals
  • Monitor, on a continuous basis, all transactions to ensure that unusual and suspicious transactions are reported to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)
  • Implementing and enforcing the board approved AML, KYC & CFT policy in as far as is applicable within debt recovery.

2. Credit Operations Officer

Introduction

Originates all credit facilities disbursement for all segments and syndicated loans while ensuring absolute data integrity. The role carries out query management related to credit facilities data input in liaison with internal stakeholders. The role handles loan disbursements for all product sectors in the companies.

  • Basic computer use ability (Word, Excel, Power point)

Job Specification

  • Originates all core banking systems (T24) data input in regards to (loan disbursements, overdraft and non-funded facilities) within the provided Turnaround Time (TAT)
  • Ensures that there are no losses on income streams by accurately collecting facility fees, commissions and other charges as per approval as contained in the approval documents
  • Absolute adherence to signed off Process and Procedure Manual, T24 Manual & Bankers Realm system (BR) or formally escalates any gaps noted to line Supervisors ,Manager, IT or Operations prior inputting any data into live system without resolution confirmation.
  • Consistency in adherence to and effective application of established credit operations systems (policies, processes, and tools) to achieve optimal compliance, efficiency and cost containment.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the company’s asset book (portfolio file) to ensure that the company does not in any way encounter losses in regards to how the loans have been maintained in the core banking systems and that they are all performing as required in terms of interest recovery and payments
  • Handle all loan processing queries, correction of anomalies with proper approval originated by credit operation officer raised by the branch in regards toT24 and Bankers Realm system to customer satisfaction.
  • Timely contract termination as raised by client through the branch with proper approval and subsequently process of all refund cases that have been raised and on those accounts that loans have been fully paid.

3. Senior Credit Officer Quality Assurance and Compliance- Faulu

The Job holder assures the quality of all loans disbursed within the organization.

  • 3 years’ experience in credit administration/documentation and debt collection.

Job Specification

KEY MEASURABLE GOALS.

Ensure compliance to laid down credit policies and procedures and prudential guidelines by the branches
Carry out online system surveillance during the working hours and give assurance of compliance to credit policies and procedures for the loans being disbursed globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Ensure all disbursed loan comply with the laid down credit policies and guidelines
  • Monitor all loans companywide and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure that all disbursements meet the set quality standards to avoid any loan losses to the organization
  • Continual checks for quality assurance in the company’s credit processes
  • Ensure reconciliation of all system entries in relation to credit processes
  • Ensure all offer letters have been reviewed for errors and omissions, compliance with the laid credit policies and procedures and guidelines issued from time to time regarding administration of credit.
  • Ensure that non-compliance issues and irregular transactions for each branch are escalated to the branch manager and credit administration department management for further action.
  • Ensure that reversals are initiated and / or immediate recovery of loans found to be inadequate and in contravention of credit policies and procedures and escalate them for further action.
  • Ensure that loans maintained in the system are properly captured, all charges collected.
  • Ensure batch proof within 12 Hours all loan disbursed at credit administration department and confirm that loans have been keyed in properly, all charges collected and disbursement conditions met and any errors corrected
  • Generate compliance reports for use in decision making and performance appraisals
  • Do any other duties that may be assigned by Management
