Jeyfine Wines Company Limited was founded in 2012.It was co-founded by Joseph King’ori and Anne Muthoni. It started as a proprietorship in 2012 in Nairobi Central Business Districts along Accra road. At that time the business sold mostly spirits as it had just started. Customers used to pass by the shop to buy goods as there were no motorcycles and motor vehicle for delivery.

In early 2013, competition from liqueur market and internal difficulties led to critical management changes that it led to  employment of accountants and sales manager. By mid 2013,spirits faced stiff competition with the entry of premiums products in to the market. This made Joseph King’ori to invest in premium products.

Basic Function

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Manage and identifying prospective customers as well as go for location mapping of new and existing outlets
  • Order generation; Generate primary orders in new and also in existing accounts in assigned territory
  • New outlet mapping within assigned area and creation of outlet database within assigned area
  • Gathering market insights/intelligence
  • Daily Competitor report; mentioning trading terms, promotions, pricing etc.
  • List available products in the outlets as per customer size; and continually seek to increase product range in the outlets handled
  • Assessment of market share compared to sales by competitors
  • Communicate with the sales department before close of business day regarding orders collected for timely deliveries
  • Ensure timely collections and that customers adhere to their set trading terms.
  • Manage handover process of outlets to the area sales representative
  • Give customer feedback regarding complaints or suggestions; and track progress of the same to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Submit timely and accurate reports to sales supervisor on a daily, weekly and monthly basis; as per the approved reporting formats

Purpose of the job:

Tax Dispute Resolution is an internal process that seeks to provide mechanisms for the resolution of tax disputes without recourse to judicial or quasi-judicial option provided in Law. The program is popularly known as Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) by virtue of it providing alternatives to traditional adversarial court or tribunal based processes it also encompasses Independent Review of Objections (IRO) to Tax Assessments.

Key Responsibilities of the job:

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the ADR program and Independent Review of Objections.
  • Provide dynamic, open-minded leadership that promotes taxpayer uptake of ADR.
  • Initiate and implement appropriate policy and procedural frameworks to ensure promotion of and proper governance over ADR and IRO processes.
  • Serve as primary corporate expert and authority on ADR, IRO and non- adversarial tax dispute resolution processes.
  • Develop and maintain liaison with external ADR processes and progress.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Tax, Law or Commercial related disciplines.
  • Master’s degree in Business is an added advantage.
  • Membership in a recognized professional body in the areas of relevance to the job.

Description

Currently the Bank is seeking additional talent to serve in the role outlined below.

The Investigations Manager will provide day-to-day guidance and management on investigation issues as follows:-

  • Manage the investigation caseload, monitoring the current status and time-lines of each case
  • Coordinate  investigation missions as necessary with other  investigators, state security agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Work with case intake and analysis staff to obtain information relevant to recommending proactive investigations in accordance with the Bank’s mandate
  • Negotiate and liaise with officials from government, national and international agencies and partner organizations on investigation-related matters
  • Ensure that investigations obtain all potentially available information relevant to the factual determination of cases
  • Ensure that investigations result in well-evidenced, high-quality reports to form the basis of Investigation closure in cases where the allegations are not factually based or where there is insufficient evidence to recommend consideration of administrative or other action
  • Disciplinary action against serving staff members, where appropriate
  • Terminate contracts where clear evidence is found to implicate service contract holders and individual contract holders in serious wrongdoing
  • Referral to national authorities for criminal investigations and prosecutions in appropriate cases
  • Provides timely information to the GM/Head of department on investigation-related matters

Qualifications

  • University degree in Criminology, Management, Finance, Law, or related field;
  • A combination of formal professional training from a national law enforcement or investigations academy or equivalent, and at least 2 years’ additional experience in conducting criminal and/or administrative investigations as an investigator (in addition to the 5 years of investigation experience required below) may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.;
  • Formal professional training in a comprehensive range of investigation-related areas.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in complex criminal and administrative investigations
  • At least three years of experience working within a financial institution or corporate managerial level of investigations.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in the role of a senior investigator, supervising a team of investigators and managing a large and varied caseload of administrative or criminal investigations

Description

The Products support team leader will be responsible of the products life cycle; from inception, user acceptance testing, Go – Live and day-to-day support to the customers. Org. Setting and Reporting

This position is based in Nairobi, and is located in the Media and Public Positioning Section, External Outreach Service (EOS) of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Geneva. The incumbent will be under the supervision of the Chief of Section.

Responsibilities

Within delegated authority, the Human Rights Officer will be responsible for the following duties:

  • In coordination with offices throughout the region and with Headquarters, takes the lead as regional spokesperson/principal liaison, representing the Office in TV, radio and print interviews with local media in countries throughout the region as well as with international media based in the region and elsewhere.
  • Manages and undertakes other activities to promote media coverage (e.g. press conferences including involving senior officials, press releases, speeches, Q&As, talking points, interviews, press seminars and other special activities) of priority issues and/or major events in the region, initiates and leads pro-active media outreach efforts, proposes and arranges press conferences/media coverage and disseminates materials, in close coordination and consultation with the Media Section on approaches/story angles, understanding OHCHR’s achievements and objectives.
  • Develops strategic partnerships and sustains professional relationships with journalists and other key external constituencies.

  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships and communication channels with representatives of United Nations departments, funds and agencies in the country and/or region to develop ways to implement communications campaigns system-wide, to address specific regional or country-based human rights issues and to incorporate the campaign message and themes into all relevant events and products.
  • Maintains social media platforms and uses digital technologies to disseminate and promote outreach activities. Stays abreast of latest digital technologies to enhance advocacy.
  • Evaluates and reports on media and social media trends and issues in the country and/or region, monitors media statistics, social media and web usage, and adapts content, editorial and outreach priorities accordingly.

  • Experience drafting public information materials (e.g. news articles, opinion pieces, feature stories, press releases, etc.) is required.
  • Media experience is required.
  • Experience at the international level is desirable.

Languages
