Our client a leading luxury group of hotels and lodges in East Africa is seeking to fill the role of a hotel manager. The successful candidate will be will be tasked with a duty to provide overall leadership, guidance, and direction to the hotel management team, act as the main liaison between the client and hotel staff to ensure that hotel and client financial obligations are met.
Responsibilities for the Hotel Manager – Uganda Job
- Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
- Deliver hotel financial plans as well as controlling expenditure and set other short and long term strategic goals for the property.
- Manage relationship with internal and external parties including communication with, external parties &third party providers.
- Oversee the general operations of the business, including its assets and employees.
- Manage the daily operations of all F&B Service employees, facilities, and sales and costs.
- Oversee, coordinate, and direct the prompt, efficient, and courteous service of Food & Beverage in the F&B outlets.
- Examine all departments in the facility on an on-going basis the quality levels of production, guest satisfaction, operating costs, sanitation, cleanliness, and hygiene.
- Represent the General Manager (GM) at functions and meetings as and when necessary
- Responsible for legalization, Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements
- Support and work with all Head of Departments in all aspects of running the hotel
Hotel Manager – Uganda Job Qualifications
- Degree in Hospitality/ Hotel Management or related field
- 5 Years in the hospitality industry with at least 2 Years’ experience in a similar role/ as a Senior Food and Beverage Role
- Must have experience in setting up hotel systems and operating procedures
- Bush experience a plus
- Experience in overseeing budgets and resources
