Bamburi Cement Limited is a subsidiary of LafargeHolcim listed in the Nairobi Securities Exchange, and is the leading cement manufacturing and marketing company in the Eastern Africa region.
The company was incorporated in 1951 and opened its Mombasa plant in 1956. Today it has two cement plants located in Mombasa and Athi River.
