Kisii County is one of the forty seven Counties of Kenya. It shares common borders with Nyamira County to the North East, Narok County to the South and Homabay and Migori Counties to the West.
The County lies between latitude 00 30’ and 100 South and longitude 340 38’ and 350 East.
It covers an area of 1,302km2, a population of 1,152,282 people as per the 2009 census.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Performing complex and advanced clinical patient management in area of specialization.
- Conduct Ward rounds.
- Supervise and develop junior staff.
- Provide expert opinions in case management, on assessment and attributability.
- Manage and control a special unit when necessary.
- Advise on specialized medical problems and medical administrative problems.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements For Appointment
- Must be a Kenyan citizen.
- Must have a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch. B) degree from an institution recognized by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
- Must have Master’s degree in the relevant field from an institution recognized by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- Certificate of Registration by the Medical practitioners and Dentist Board.
- Valid Practicing license from Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board
- Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution
- Certificate in Computer applications from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrate Managerial competence and skills.
- Have capacity to undertake multitask within strict timelines.
