Frank Management Job Vacancy : Restaurant Manager

Our client a well-established 4 Star hotel in Uganda is currently seeking to fill the role of a Restaurant Manager.  The successful candidate will be tasked with a duty to supervise daily restaurant operations and assists with menu planning, maintain sanitation standards & assists servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods.

S/He will continually strive to improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance in areas of responsibility.

Restaurant Manager Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and manages employees & managing all day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
  • Ensure the quality, standards and meets the expectations of the customers on a daily basis.
  • Ensure compliance with all food & beverage policies, standards and procedures by training, supervising, follow-up and hands on management.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
  • Ensure Exceptional Customer Service
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service acts as the guest service role model
  • Ensure and maintains the productivity level of employees.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Handle guest problems and complaints.
  • Identify the Training needs of team and coach, mentor, or to improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Incharge of the financial aspects of the department including purchasing and payment of invoices
  • Provide the leadership and direction to the team in a way that will be efficient and effective.
  • Provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
  • Review staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met.
  • Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations.

Minimum Requirements for the Restaurant Manager Job

  • Degree or Diploma in hospitality management, food and beverage, culinary related studies
  • 5 Years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role 4star/ 5 star facility prefered
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager
  • Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable and PeachWorks
  • Acute financial management skills
