Our client, is Engineering Company offering solutions in Power Systems and Network roll-outs. In order to continue with local growth, our client seeks to hire a Human Resource Manager

Job Summary:

To provide guidance on overall human resources management and administrative policies and strategies in order to support smooth running of the Company’s operations. The position ensures that the organisation has adequate manpower to undertake various activities as well as ensure office property is well managed.

Human Resource Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall function of human resources and administration.
  • Formulate and review human resource policies and ensure proper implementation.
  • Forecast manpower needs in liaison with the other senior managers.
  • Develop reward policies and system.
  • Initiate and participate in the recruitment and selection of staff at all levels.
  • Initiate, recommend and oversee the implementation of reviewed terms & conditions for staff.
  • Ensure maintenance of harmonious working relations through effective communication with staff, their supervisors and/or representatives.
  • Handle disciplinary cases and advise the staff disciplinary committee accordingly.
  • Management of staff welfare, and provide management advice on HR and other staff issues.
  • Supervise, develop and appraise staff within the department.
  • Develop the department’s work plan and budget and ensure adherence to set limits and targets.
  • Oversee the management of change process in the organisation.
  • Ensure effective administration of office support services, security services and insurance services.
  • Ensure that employee performance appraisals are conducted in a fair manner as per approved policies.
  • Develop administrative policies and procedures.
  • Improved skills set and optimum staff numbers ( Required staff to be hired on a need basis as the company grows)
  • HR Policy and Procedures Manual and employee handbook in place Clear Succession Plan

Qualifications for the Human Resource Manager Job

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management.
  • IHRM Certification an added advantage.
  • At least 4 years’ HR Management experience and proven insight and knowledge of career development and in-house capacity building.
  • Experience in engineering firms is desired.
  • Strong conceptualizing, creative skills, ability to generate ideas and concepts
