Responsible for coordinating all VMMC M&E field-related activities and provide constant feedback to both the technical and program teams including health care workers in EGPAF supported sites in Homa Bay, Turkana and West Pokot Counties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures that the daily teams’ data performance from the field are summarized and shared to the MOH and program teams for daily performance monitoring. This data should eventually feed into the CDC and NASCOP reporting tools.
- Supervises the VMMC data officers and ensuring that the VMMC M&E priority monthly performance indicators are met.
- Issues red flags if a team’s data performance in two consecutive occasions is below the target.
- Ensures that the client’s files are entered into VMMC database by data officers within the facility and within stipulated time and that no client file leaves the health facility.
- Performs monthly QA/QC for all the data entered. Feedback report to be given to the MC program QA/QC committee and county VMMC committee meetings.
- Performs monthly and quarterly VMMC M&E quality assessment for all the VMMC sites to identify M&E gaps in the quality of care offered to the VMMC clients.
- Prepares comprehensive quarterly program VMMC graphical and data M&E reports and monthly summary data reports and ensuring that the national protocol on VMMC data reporting guidelines are followed by data team to the latter.
- Ensures that all VMMC program M&E /data entry, reporting and evaluation tools both MoH and program-related are available at the sites.
- Joins the county and inter-county VMMC taskforce M&E team meetings
- Attending sub county VMMC steering committee meetings and giving reports on sub county VMMC M&E and database
- In coordination with the VMMC program officer ensures that the sub county Mc data officers move from one health facility to the other within the sub county for facilities VMMC data entry and processing and ensures proper and prompt coordination of data officers weekly transport schedule and schedule well harmonized to the sub county clinical teams transport schedule.
- Joining the county and sub county SCHMTs VMMC quarterly support supervision exercises and joint writing reports on d M&E activities.
- Any other assignment as given by the supervisor
Qualifications (Preferred)
- A bachelor’s degree in public health, biostatistics, statistics, monitoring and evaluation, social sciences or an equivalent academic qualification from a recognized institution
- At least three years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation of VMMC, HIV/AIDS care and treatment, PMTCT, TB/HIV and HTC programs in Kenya
- Monitoring and evaluation techniques and processes
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer knowledge with command on MS Excel among other packages of MS Office
- Strong data management and analysis skills.
- Communication skills for presenting monitoring findings
- Time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Self-motivated person able to work without close supervision
- Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment
