Bancassurance Officer at Sheer Logic

Job Purpose

The role holder will be responsible for the day to day insurance sales operations at the branch level and reporting to the Bancassurance manager.

Responsibilities

  • Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients.
  • Management of day to day insurance operations which entails selling insurance products, booking the business within defined terms and conditions.
  • Sell various types of insurance policies to businesses and individuals on behalf of insurance companies.
  • Management of direct insurance sales staff by ensuring proper sales management.
  • Ensure all customers insurance queries are handled promptly and accurate records on insurance transactions maintained.
  • Effectively create new client relationships and partnerships.
  • Ensuring timely submission of claim documents to the insurance company and continuously update clients whose claims are being processed on progress of their claims
  • Ensuring premium is collected as per the laid down procedures on all insurance business transacted.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in insurance, actuarial science or business management.
  • AIIK Diploma

Experience

  • At least two years’ experience in the sales of motor and non-motor insurance products preferably within an insurance intermediary or insurance company.
