WorkStation: Dagoretti Center Office Kikuyu Rd
Reporting to: Finance Officer 2
Purpose of position
The stores assistant is responsible for the proper running of the storeroom, receiving materials goods/equipment, issuing the same to departments, maintaining accurate inventory records and keeping the stores clean through regular inspection of items.
Major responsibilities:
- · Receiving, recording and storing of requested items in the stores.
- · Distribution of supplies and materials to relevant units as per requests.
- · Monitoring utilization of materials &supplies with minimal waste, misuse, pilfering and unauthorized removal.
- · Employ right storage practices avoiding spoilage /expiration of stock and maintain health & safety standards.
- · Maintain accurate &updated records of current inventories in the store, supply requests &Issue records.
- · Maintain accurate records of in-kind donations with estimated value, donor contacts and update Finance.
- · Participate in regular stock take within the organization.
- · Prepare weekly/monthly reports on stores stock movement plus updating stock sheets and alert on new orders.
- · Maintain cleanness and high hygiene standards of the stores.
- · Maintain buffer stock in the store at all times in consultation with Operations officer.
- · Weigh and keep records of all received items in the store including Dairy and farm produce at the Center.
- · Plus, any other duties as assigned by line manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma in Stores Management or Business Administration Certificate in Stores.
- 2 years relevant experience in Bookkeeping and stores.
- Excellent experience in use of office equipment including Photocopier, Scanner, Projector and digital.
- At least 1-2 years experience working for INGO.
- Proficiency in Computer applications, MS Office packages will be necessary.
- Current Certificate of good conduct/Police clearance.
- Understanding and ability to promote Child Protection Policies.

- Should be Honest with high level of integrity and ready to work on weekends when called upon.
