Our client seeks to recruit a Logistics manager who has worked in an FMCG or a manufacturing company.
Head of Logistics Job Responsibilities
- Coordinating and managing delivery fleet
- Planning routes for the drivers for delivery
- Truck optimization and cost reduction
- Organize timely delivery of materials, based on customer demand
- Focusing on improving and documenting daily activity for dispatch team and drivers
- Implement schedule for transportation and delivery
- Develop and implement plans to improve transportation in the company
- Collaborate and work closely with the production department, store and loading
- Monitoring operations to ensure that staff members comply with the set policies and procedures, safety rules, environmental policies and government regulations
- Monitoring spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets
- Directing activities related to dispatching, routing, or tracking transportation vehicles
- Develops or implements plans to improve transportation of goods
Requirements for the Head of Logistics Job
- Diploma/Degree in logistics, purchasing and supplies and procurement
- 5 Plus years’ experience as a Logistics Manager in a busy FMCG or manufacturing environment
- Good analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Good reporting skills
- Time management skills
- Complex problem solving skills
