Job Specifications
- i. Provide technical leadership guidance to the overall development team
- ii. Work with business users to determine the best system solutions to the desired business processes
- iii. Coordinate and lead technical team efforts to integrate the ERP system changes
- iv. Provide impact assessments for changes requested by the business
- v. Support ERP system users and maintains existing system components
- vi. Perform all other related duties assigned by Information Technology Manager
- vii. Configure and develops work flow functionality in SAP/R3 ERP System
- viii. Coordinate SAP R/3 support, problem resolution, provide recommendations, propose and document resolution options
- ix. Coordinate the migration process of the existing system to the new versions when required
- x. Act as subject matter expert in at least one SAP/R3 technical or functional area, as well as technical knowledge of all phases of project management, requirements analysis and programming
- xi. Oversee quality assurance review, and provide overall direction and guidance to assigned project personnel
- xii. Oversee ERP software testing, debugging, implementation and documentation
- xiii. Analyze possible problems in the application functional implementation, technical infrastructure, performance capability, stability and security synthetically, responsible for the optimizing scheme and its realization
- xiv. Conduct workshops or other forums to develop and maintain a detailed understanding of business applications, needs and priorities
- xv. Provide documentation support of procedures, standards and best practices
- xvi. Provide technical decision to solve severe problems in ERP system
- xvii. Prepare disaster recovery plans for the central SAP/R3 system
- xviii. Provide budgetary input for application support
Persons Specifications
- i. Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or IT infrastructure related field.
- ii. Post-graduate qualification in Information Technology field if the first degree is not in any of the above
- iii. Minimum of eight (8) years post qualification relevant experience three (3) of which should be at Senior Management level,
- iv. SAP R/3, with certification in ABAP or business area of specialty
- v. Membership to a relevant professional body e.g. CSK and ISACA.
- vi. Member of an ICT professional body.
- vii. Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks
- viii. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
- ix. Demonstrated competence in work performance.
Key Skills and competencies
- i. Extensive knowledge working with ERP application, ERP application support, programming and analysis
- ii. Knowledge of Software Testing practices for all phases of the SDLC
- iii. Must have a minimum of two SAP R/3 full cycle implementation experience
- iv. Demonstrates technical expertise in ERP and database management
- v. Specific experience with ERP software is essential for this role
- vi. Working knowledge of Windows and UNIX OS is required.
- vii. Demonstrated technical expertise in ERP and database man.
