Job Summary
The role is responsible for providing actuarial and data analytics support to the general insurance business and participate in overall risk management for the company.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related qualification
- Progress in Institute and Faculty of Actuaries UK examinations (at least 4 papers) or equivalent
Experience
2 years’ experience in the actuarial department of a general insurance company
Competencies
- Computer literacy with emphasis on MS Excel
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
- Accounting knowledge
- Statistical techniques
- Proficient knowledge on the insurance industry in Kenya
- Knowledge of reinsurance arrangements and structures
- Knowledge of statistical packages or programming (e.g. R, SAS, Visual Basic)
- Database management systems
