Duties and Responsibilities:
- Waiting on customers when they arrive at the restaurant.
- Arranging and preparing food and drinks service in a proper and hygienic manner.
- Preparing and organizing the restaurant for service.
- Removing used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables.
- Maintaining familiarity with menu items and canteen information.
- Always maintaining good hygiene and personal cleanliness.
- Should have the ability to identify, report and correct hazards.
- Ensuring all work is done in a manner which enhances the safety of the work environment.
- Performing any other duty assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills:
- KCSE Certificate with a mean grade of D+.
- Certificate in food and beverage production and service or its equivalent from a recognized institution. iii. 3 years’ experience in an institution of higher learning, star rated hotel or comparable organization.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Above 25 years.
- Active individual with good public relations.
