Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) is a state office established under Article 260 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, and the Political Parties Act, 2011. The mandate of the office, among others is to regulate the formation, registration, and funding of political parties in accordance with the Constitution and rule of law. The Act is the primary legal reference for management of political parties in accordance with Articles 91 and 92 of the Constitution, which envisages well governed political parties that respect internal democracy and their constitutional status in the Kenyan political system. The ORPP has an organizational structure headed by the Registrar of Political Parties, deputized by three (3) Assistant Registrars. There are four (4) directorates namely; Registration and Regulation; Financial Management; Planning, Research and ICT; and Human Resource Management and Administration.
GRADE ORPP 7
The officer will be expected to compile multimedia content for publication/ upload and dissemination.
Duties and responsibilities include;
- Perform duties related to corporate photography and videography;
- Edit and produce photos, videos, corporate documentaries and related productions;
- Prepare draft material for corporate branding;
- Monitor media reports related to the ORPP using appropriate monitoring tools;
- Create multi-media content for dissemination on social media platforms;
- Preparation of camera -ready publications;
- Collate and analyse customer feedback data;
- Propose graphic design of ORPP internal and external publications;
- Input updated information on the ORPP website;
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
For appointment to this position one must have:
Diploma in graphic design or a related discipline from a recognized institution / an accredited university.
Functional skills:-
- Photography;
- Videography;
- Thorough understanding of editing and production suite;
- Photography, video, documentary production and editing;
- Conversant with media/communication monitoring tools;
