Objectives
The Market Intelligence, Research & Public Relations Manager will offer support in the provision of marketing intelligence, research, product development and Public Relations Services to the Sacco aimed at business growth and expansion.
Research & Public Relations Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development and implementation of market research plans
- Perform data analysis, compile and deliver business intelligence reports to the CEO on a regular basis;
- Provides integrated marketing analytical solutions across customers and channels, contributing to in-market action plans;
- Build strong relationship with all stakeholders
- Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies;
- Liaising with, and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email;
- Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional materials etc
- Organizing events including, exhibitions, open days and educational exposures;
- Maintaining and updating information on the Sacco’s website together with the ICT manager;
- Managing and updating information and engaging with users on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook;
- Fostering community relations through events such as open days and through involvement in community initiatives such as CSR;
- Any other lawful duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications for the Research & Public Relations Job
- Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration –Marketing Option from a recognized university
- Masters degree in marketing from a recognized university will be an added advantage.
- O-level qualifications of C+ and above.
- 3 years working experience in the grade of Marketing, Marketing Intelligence or Public Relations Manager or a
- comparable position with similar responsibilities in a similar organization.
- Membership in a professional association will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of marketing strategy, planning issues, priority setting is appreciated
- Excellent presentation and communication skills both written and oral.
