To assist with the daily operations of the corporate affairs function covering public, media and stakeholder relations, advertising and marketing communications, brand management, Corporate Social Responsibility and sponsorship management and administrative support.
Corporate Affairs Officer Job Responsibilities
- Responding to inquiries from the Corporation’s internal and external publics;
- Assisting in the implementation and management of the internal communication plan;
- Assisting in drafting all corporate publications to create the desired image for the corporation among all stakeholders;
- Assisting in the coordination of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Sponsorship activities and initiatives;
- Assisting in managing content on the Corporation’s website and corporate social media channels;
- Coordinating public relations, advertising, marketing activities and campaigns with the external public relations agency and other agencies;
- Developing a proactive media strategy and maintaining close relations with the media;
- Identification of unique publicity initiatives and opportunities;
- Assisting in the management of the NOC brand and identity;
- Providing administrative support to the Corporate Affairs Department including information and document management, Oracle ERP and other assigned administrative support.
Qualifications for the Corporate Affairs Officer Job
- Bachelors’degree in Journalism, Communications, Advertising or Public Relations.
- Member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK).
- At least five years experience, in public relations, advertising or communications in an agency or Corporate setup similar or larger than NOC in scope and magnitude.
- Working knowledge and experience of the full range of media channels and how to use them effectively to generate positive publicity for the Corporation.
- Have knowledge of web-based apps including Desktop publishing Publisher, PageMaker, InDesign, Illustrator,
- Web design and publishing.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to deliver high quality work within strict deadlines and with minimal supervision
- Have a strong judgment to ensure responses to stakeholders are appropriate and convincing.
- Self-driven individual with ability to collect and collate information.
Demonstrates lateral thinking.
