Position: Director, Human Resource and Administration Services
Ref: NCWSC2017-004
Grade: 2
Location: Headquarters – Kampala Road Industrial Area, Nairobi.
Reporting to: Managing Director
Broad Role: To provide effective leadership and strategic direction in the management of human capital and administrative services by developing relevant human capital and administrative initiatives and performance improvement interventions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruitment and retention required talent for the company
- Management of cultural & behavioral change in the organization
- Ensuring compliance to Human Resources related regulations and statutes
- Developing the necessary Human Resources to achieve company objectives
- Management of industrial relations in the company
- Management of employees and organizational development programs.
- Ensure prudent management of employees performance and compensation
- Managing the Human Resource related risks
- Management of corporate occupational safety and health programs
- Management of employees payroll
- Ensure efficient & effective management of company fleet
Education, Professional Qualifications and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or its equivalent
- Masters’ degree in Human Resource Management
- Higher diploma in Human Resource Management or related field
- Member – Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM)
- 10 years’ experience in Human Resource Management, three (3) of which should be at management level in an organization with at least two thousand employees.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong report writing, management, leadership and negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask in a strong-paced environment
- Must be a strong team player
- Competency in Human Resource Information Management System
- Competencies in performance management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
