The officer will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Specific duties and responsibilities will entail:- inspection, operation, repair and maintenance of electrical, electronics, and mechanical, manufacturing, chemical, production, civil etc installations and controls; building drawings, specifications and cost estimates for electrical, electronics, mechanical; producing, civil installations or in the commercial office to handle commercial matters such as costing, installation, operation, inspection, testing and maintenance of electrical, electronics, mechanical, manufacturing, production, civil or foundry works. The officer will also participate in training and grading of staff working under him.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
- Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Engineering/Electronics/ OR Technician Certificate Part I or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Certificate in Entrepreneurship Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution; and
- Certificate in relevant computer application package from a recognized institution.
In addition, all prospective candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of leadership and integrity as set out in Chapter six (6) of the constitution of Kenya and attach the following documents to their applications:-
- Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission clearance Certificate (EACC)
- Kenya Revenue Authority Tax compliance Certificate (KRA)
- Higher Education Loans Board clearance Certificate(HELB)
- Certificate of Good Conduct from Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
- Certificate from Credit Reference Bureau
