The ideal candidate will organize, conduct and evaluate training and development programs to enhance organizational and individual performance of operational personnel and commercial customers.
Key duties and responsibilities will include;
- Developing and reviewing passenger handling training program for conformance to industry standards and regulations.
- Conducting a training needs analysis to address training gaps.
- Developing a training schedule to facilitate effective planning of programs.
- Liaising with relevant stakeholders to enable smooth coordination of training.
- Conducting training programs in accordance with the approved syllabi / curriculum to ensure staff gain the knowledge and skills to perform their roles.
- Prepare, administer, mark examinations and communicate results.
- Prepare reports on all trainings conducted to enable continuous evaluation of programs and facilitate decision making.
- Submit training records that are complete and accurate within the stipulated timelines.
- Monitor and evaluate implementation of training to ensure effective transfer of skills and identify further training needs to continuously improve performance.
- Organize training logistics including learning materials and venue arrangements.
- Issue certificates and/ or transcripts to qualified participants to ensure compliance with Kenya Airways standards and procedures.
- Deliver commercial training programs to contribute to the achievement of overall departmental revenue targets.
- Maintain competency, qualification and where required, certified in both the subject matter required to deliver.
- Support in the review of operational manuals to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and company training standards within operational areas.
- Act as subject matter expert for the business with regards to Passenger Handling and issues.
- Create a learning culture by always engaging learners and their managers.
Qualifications
-
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma or Diploma
- Must possess Airline Passenger Handling training
- Five (5) years in operations with three (3) years in a supervisory role in Passenger Handling role.
- Instructional Techniques and instructional Design and delivery skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to lead self
- Demonstration of motivational skills and ability to transfer the same to learners.
- Proficiency in MS Office productivity skills.

- Delivery of scheduled classes to ensure operational personnel are competent and certified in compliance with the regulations and company standards.
- Revenue generation targets
- Completion of training records within the stipulated timelines
- Effectiveness of programs in relation to functional performance requirements (Return on investment)
- Training calendar created and shared
- Programs are delivered to individual training needs
- Prepare and review of training programs
- Enhance the leadership skills for supervisory personnel in operational areas
- Enhance business skills
- Adhering to the approved budgets
- Internal customer satisfaction through level 3
