Makueni County Public Service Board is established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act 2012. The Board was inaugurated on the 5th of August, 2013 as a body corporate with perpetual succession and seal capable of suing and being sued in its corporate name. It is composed of a Chairman, five Board Members and a Secretary all appointed by the Governor with approval of the County Assembly. Salary scale – Kshs. 38,270 x 1,470 – 39,740 x 1,520 – 41,260 x 1,710 – 42,970 x 1,920 – 44,890 x 2,000 – 46,890 x 2,110 – 49,000 x 2,170 – 51,170 p.m.
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the close supervision and guidance of a senior officer.
Duties and responsibilities
- Carrying out feasibility studies; planning and designing water supply and sewerage infrastructures; an carrying out research activities in various aspects of water, sewerage and hydraulic systems
Requirements for Appointment
- Be a Kenyan citizen;
- Be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
- Be registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer.
- Have a certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution
