The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) was established by an Act of Parliament, Chapter 469 of the laws of Kenya , which became effective on 1st July 1995 . The Authority is charged with the responsibility of collecting revenue on behalf of the Government of Kenya. A Board of Directors, consisting of both public and private sector experts, makes policy decisions to be implemented by KRA Management. The Chairman of the Board is appointed by the President of the Republic of Kenya . The Chief Executive of the Authority is the Commissioner General who is appointed by the Minister for Finance. PURPOSE OF KRA Assessment , Collection, Administration and Enforcement of laws relating to revenue.
JOB PURPOSE
This role is responsible for supervision and support of marine operations and serviceability of patrol crafts and standby generators in the assigned station.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure serviceability of patrol boats
- Carry out planned maintenance for the patrol boats
- Ensure strict adherence to planned maintenance schedules
- Bunkering of fuels –carry out fueling of patrol boats and maintain fuel register
- Carry out repairs of breakdowns on patrol boats as they occur
- Prepare weekly, monthly maintenance and equipment status reports for reports for management decision making.
- Support conduct of maritime operations
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Academic qualification:
- A Bachelors degree and certification in relevant field i.e Engineering (mechanical/Electrical/Plant/ Marine Engineering)
- A diploma in Marine, Mechanical, Plant, Agricultural, Electrical, Automotive or related engineering field from a recognized institution.
Professional qualification:
- STCW-95 Certification
- Be Registered member of Engineering body In Kenya
- Post Graduate Diploma/Certificate in Customs Administration or equivalent will be an added advantage
Professional experience:
- STCW-95 Certification
- Be Registered member of Engineering body In Kenya
- Post Graduate Diploma/Certificate in Customs Administration or equivalent will be an added advantage

- Minimum of 3 years work experience in similar role
