Responsibilities
- Map startups, venture capitalists, Angel investors and other ecosystem stakeholders in Africa.
- Ideate the concepts and reasons for research articles & drive regular publishing on WeeTracker.com
- Convert data points and text heavy insights to infographics via the help of design team
- Engage/Collaborate/Meet with Corporates, VCs, Hubs & organisations supporting startups and innovation in Africa
- Extract and analyse data from WeeTracker’s data product; The Base to write clearly and concisely about complex and varying topic(s) around African startups
- Providing data and insight snippets for Marketing Team from the report created
- Collect data and information both through secondary and primary sources
Qualifications
- Writing experience a must – can be within the fields of market research, journalism, equity research, investment banking or consulting.
- 1+ years experience in a research analyst, or consulting role.
- Proficient in English – both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of Adobe tools (Photoshop, Al) a value add.
- Collaborate cross functionally with the editorial team to bring the best of WT to our readers.
- Preferably holding bachelor’s degree in journalism.
