Job Description
An officer at this level will initially work under the supervision of a more experienced officer in the relevant field.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Systems Administrator in organization, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of the Servers and Networks.
- Supervision of computer technologists in the division/department.
- Identifying training needs for computer technologists in liaison with Maintenance & Operations Officer and ICT Trainer.
- Supervising repairs and maintenance of ICT equipment in liason with the Maintenance & Operations Officer.
- Supervising and compiling technical systems documentation.
- Supervising day-to-day systems operation and control.
- Assisting the Computer Programmer and Information Systems Support officer in design, development, installation, configuration and maintenance of software and information systems.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the ICT Director.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution
- Five (5) years’ work experience in a relevant field.
- A Master’s degree, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic Nav. and professional certifications will be an added advantage
