Senior Officer- DBA, DVA & Dealer Channel Development at Safaricom

We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the M-Agri Department within the Enterprise Business Unit Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:

Reporting to the Senior Manager Business Development and Channels, the position holder will be responsible for delivering sustainable competitive advantage by building frontline sales capability, standardizing key processes, deploying exciting incentives and recognition programs that will motivate the DigiFarm Business Associate (DBA), DigiFarm Village Advisor (DVA) and the dealer network. The successful candidate will be responsible for route to market development and implementation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  •          Act as a focal point for sales excellence initiatives with other business units.
  •          DVA/DBA and Dealer Channel segmentation &classification.
  •         Lead DVA/DBA and Dealer channel automation initiatives that enhances sales force effectiveness.
  •          Outline frontline Capability agenda, develop content, design the delivery & assessment framework and deploy across regions.
  •         Develop & execute training for all large process changes including automation tools deployment. Standardize & deploy key sales management processes across regions.
  •         Development of DVA/DBA and Dealer channel proposition across the channel.
  •          Define DVA/DBA and Dealer compensation schemes including establishing remuneration roadmaps.
  •         Provide guidance on DVA/DBA and Dealer channel development and integration initiatives/activities.
  •          Guide and enrich trade execution through sharing and integrating best practice.
  •         Responsible for running DVA/DBA and Dealer channel economics model & share results against baseline targets.
  •         Responsible for market development budget.(budget governance)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

  •         Degree in marketing, economics.
  •          An MBA an added advantage.
  •         Thorough understanding of FMCG with proven experience in effective trade execution.
  •          Proven track record in managing projects in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  •          Route to market development and execution/implementation
  •          Analytical skills.
  •          Must have the stature to interact with the regional  sales leadership and influence behavior
