Responsibilities:
- Providing technical advice in area of specialization;
- Advising on cooperative investments
- Preparing reports for policy formulation
- Enforcing compliance with cooperative legislation
- Designing, coordinating and monitoring the implementation of cooperative activities, programs and policies
- Carrying out market research and disseminating research findings
- Promoting value addition and processing
- Conducting cooperative banking inspection
- Undertaking risk assessment
- Developing new financial products and credit policies
Qualifications:
- Served in the grade of assistant commissioner for cooperative development for a minimum period of three (3) years
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Commerce, Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Sociology, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Co-operative Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Management and Organizational Development, Finance or Agribusiness from a university recognized in Kenya;
- Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Commerce, Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Sociology, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Co-operative Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Management and Organizational Development, Finance or Agribusiness from a university recognized in Kenya;
- Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution
- Demonstrate administrative ability and a high degree of professional competence in planning, conducting and supervising cooperative work.
